A microchip contains a registration identification number associated with your pet. The chip, as small as a grain of rice, is implanted under your dog's or cat's skin.

If your "chipped" pet gets loose and is brought to any animal shelter nationwide, it can be scanned for your dog's or cat's contact information. Subsequently, you will be notified so you can be reunited with your furry family member. Included with the microchip is a lifetime membership in the Petlink International Directory.
All dogs and cats adopted from our shelter will be chipped free of charge before leaving the shelter. Pets that already have a loving home can participate for a $25 fee (cash or check only).
Our microchipping hours are Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 11 am and from 1 pm to 4 pm, and Saturday, from 9 am to 4 pm. No appointment is necessary but we recommend that you call ahead for availability.
There is no minimum age to participate; your pet must be in good health.
