Delinquent Taxes
You may pay your School taxes in this office up to and including May 31. General taxes can be paid up to and including August 31. Payments after these respective dates must be made at the Nassau County Treasurer’s Office located at 1 West Street in Mineola. If the word “ARREARS” is printed on your tax bill, it indicates that you have an unpaid tax listed at the Nassau County Treasurer’s Office.
The Nassau County Treasurer has a different penalty application schedule from that of the Hempstead Town Receiver’s Office. Please contact the County Treasurer at (516) 571-2090 to obtain the correct amount to remit prior to making a payment.
