Passport Fees

A separate check or money order payable to the U.S. Department of State is required for each individual passport application for the Passport, Expedite and Overnight Return fees. The Execution, Photo, Certified Mail, Overnight Mail, and Renewal Handling fees must be paid separately, and can be paid by cash, money order, or check payable to Hempstead Town Clerk. Please do not pre-fill check amounts in advance as fees may vary with individual situations. Only personal checks drawn from a bank branch located within New York State will be accepted. Credit cards are not accepted.

*Starting December 27, 2021, the US Department of State will increase the cost of all passport books by $20. All other associated fees remain the same.

Please Note: Final determination for the issuance of a United States passport rests solely with the U.S. Department of State. As per the U.S. Department of State, all passport fees are nonrefundable.
