To apply for a Non-Commercial shellfish permit, please complete the Shellfish Permit Application below, submit proof of residency in the Town of Hempstead for at least six months, and the appropriate fee if required.
Proof of Residency: Upload a headshot photo* and an image of the front and back of your NYS Driver's License or Photo ID. For ages 15 and under, a headshot-only photo is required.
*Please note: Headshot photos taken with a phone must be positioned horizontally (landscape).

If a permit fee is required, it can be paid via credit card (additional $1.55 service charge) on the shellfish permit portal above.
